Your pre care is how you will prepare for your appointment, follow this to a T. Failure to follow your pre care will result in being sent home and forfeiting your deposit. A more specific in depth pre care packet corresponding with what service you booked will also be sent to your email upon booking — you will need to read this over throughly.

These apply to ALL cosmetic tattoo procedures (brows, lips, freckles, removal):

  • Discontinue the use of accutane/oral medications for 12 months prior to the procedure.

  • Avoid chemical peels and facial laser treatments for 3 months prior to your appointment.

  • Avoid microdermabrasion 30 days prior to your appointment.

  • Discontinue the use of topical acne treatments, retinols/retinoids, retin A, lactic acid, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, AHAs, BHAs and vitamin A for minimum 30 days prior to your appointment.

  • Avoid filler/botox in the area of procedure 30 days prior.

  • Avoid sun and tanning beds for 7 days prior to your appointment.

  • Do not wax or thread 3 days prior.

  • Do not have a sunburned face and refrain from all blood thinning medications for at least 24 hrs. (Advil, Ibuprofen, Aleve, Fish Oil, Tums, etc.) *Must consult your physician before stopping or altering any medication*

  • Stop the consumption of alcohol and caffeine 24 hrs prior to your appointment.

    • *Caffeine includes coffee, caffeinated tea, boba, protein shakes, energy drinks, etc. Minimal bleeding during your permanent makeup procedure is normal and expected; all of these things will maximize the amount of blood produced during the procedure, which is why it is crucial to avoid caffeine.

  • Brows

    Exfoliate your brow area 7 days prior to your appointment and keep the area well moisturized. Stay hydrated before your appointment.

  • Lips

    Exfoliate your lips 7 days prior to your appointment and again 3 days prior to your appointment with a gentle sugar scrub.

    Keep your lips hydrated and moisturized in the days leading up to your appointment.

    If you have history of cold sores an antiviral medication must be obtained prior to your procedure (further details in your informational packet as well as your pre care email). If you do not have a history of cold sores, follow the instructions given in your pre care email.
